Abstract [sv]

Syftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka sambandet mellan det upplevda ledarskapet på en arbetsplats och det upplevda välbefinnandet och stressnivån hos medarbetare. Ledarskapen som undersöktes är transaktionellt, transformativt och laissez-faire. Deltagarna i studien arbetar som socialsekreterare och är en utsatt grupp när det kommer till arbetsrelaterad stress och dess följdsjukdomar. För att undersöka samband genomfördes en enkätundersökning där 110 respondenter deltog. Datan analyserades genom regressionsanalys i SPSS. Studiens viktigaste resultat är det signifikanta sambandet mellan transaktionellt ledarskap och stress. Höga nivåer av transaktionellt ledarskap var associerat med höga stressnivåer hos medarbetarna. Transformativt och laissez-faire ledarskap hade inget samband med medarbetarnas stress.

Abstract [en]

The purpose of the study was to investigate the relation between the leadership of the workplace with the well-being and stress levels of the employees. The leadership styles that where investigated was transactional, transformational and laissez-faire style. The participants in the survey worked as socialworkers, a well-known a risk group of workrelated stress and stress diseases. A survey was conducted with 110 participants. The data was analysed in SPSS via regression analysis. The results of the study was that the transactional leadership has as significant positive relationship with the employees stress levels. Transformational and laissez-faire leadership had no relation to the employees workrelated stress.
