Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

With graffiti’s advancement in Stockholm recent years, there has occurred to be a problem regarding the handling of graffiti spray cans. The problem consists spray cans containing paint and gas, but thrown into public trash bins, although classified as hazardous waste. This report shows a design process that develops a concept to simplify when handling the cans. Through discussion with stakeholders and law research this process strives to come up with the design solutions for a trashcan to puncture the cans in place where they were used. A spray can that is punctured is classified as metal waste instead of hazardous waste and this is a solution to the problem that exists today with all the rules to deal with regarding hazardous waste. This master thesis is limited to the study of a place and complies with the rules and laws that apply there. The place that examines in this master thesis is the legal graffiti wall in Tantolunden in southern Stockholm.
