Abstract [sv]

Omsorgsarbete innefattar känslomässigt krävande arbetsuppgifter som kan inverka negativt på hälsan. Stark känsla av sammanhang (Kasam) och hög arbetstillfredsställelse påverkar hälsan positivt, bidrar till produktivitet och personlig utveckling. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka om det föreligger skillnader av Kasam i förhållande till utbildning, kön och arbetstidsutformning hos personal inom omsorgsarbete. I studien användes en kvantitativ webbenkät. Arbetstillfredsställelse undersöktes med Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionaire 2, dimensionerna hälsa och trivsel och arbete och privatliv. Kasam undersöktes med Antonovskýs livsfrågeformulär, kortversionen. Samtliga anställda, 283 personer, inom ett område med kommunal socialpsykiatri och sysselsättning/daglig verksamhet erbjöds delta i studien. 112 besvarade enkäten vilket gav svarsfrekvensen 40%. Data analyserades med variansanalys (ANOVA). Resultatet visade inga signifikanta skillnader i Kasam eller arbetstillfredsställelse i förhållande till arbetstidsutformning, kön eller utbildning. Inga signifikanta interaktionseffekter hittades.

Abstract [en]

Health care work includes emotionally demanding work tasks that can have a negative impact on health. A strong Sense of Coherence (SOC) and high job satisfaction effects health in a positive way, contributes to productivity and personal growth. The purpose of this study was to explore if differences in Sense of Coherence and job satisfaction are present regarding design of working hours, gender and education amongst employees in health care. A quantitative survey was used in the study. Job satisfaction was explored using Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionaire 2, dimensions health and wellbeing and work-family balance. SOC was explored using Antonovskýs short form life questionnaire. All employees, 283, in a department of municipal social-psychiatry and daily activities was invited to participate in the study. 112 answered the survey resulting in a response rate of 40%. Data was analysed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). Results showed no significant differences in SOC and job satisfaction regarding design of working hours, gender or education. There were no significant interactions between the variables.
