The purpose of this study was to qualitatively study municipal coordinators in central Sweden and their experience with workload during the covid-19 pandemic. The study was analyzed with inductive thematic analysis and were based on eight interviews where all of the participants worked in healthcare. The result showed that the participants' experienced workloads have been very mixed. While some have experienced a higher workload others thought the workload had decreased. Some participants meant that the approach had not changed during covid-19, their work is the same as it was before the pandemic. Some coordinators mostly experienced work-related stress around the staff because of the higher statistics in sick leave. The result from the study showed that some coordinators experienced a high workload both in themselves and in their staff members. Suggestions for areas of improvement is to look over the cooperation with the support function that assists with staffing. The municipality should also look over the workload with their coordinators so they don’t work more than they can handle.
