Background: As a new way of education, online learning can be free from geographical restrictions. Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, many professional teaching has been changed to online teaching, including nursing teaching. Therefore, it is important to ensure that students have a high degree of engagement in the curriculum.Aim: The aim of the study was to evaluate the online learning engagement of students in an international collaborative nursing programs.Methods: A total of 232 students of international cooperative nursing program of Lishui University participated in the questionnaire survey. Use the Chinese version of Online Student Engagement Scale (OSE). The data were analyzed by SPSS 26.0.Result: The total score of the questionnaire was 19-95 points. In our study, the highest score was 95 points, the lowest score was 19 points, and the mean score was 69.2 points. The mean scores of each dimension from high to low were: dimension Skills, Participation, Emotion and dimension Performance. There were also statistically significant differences in online learning engagement among students of different grades. The engagement of year 3 students is lower than that of year 1 and year 2.Conclusion: Research showed that students engagement in the dimension "Skills" is the highest. In addition, year 3 students' online learning engagement is the lowest. These results have guiding significance for educators. Educators should pay more attention to the learning of year 3 students, stimulate their learning interest and improve their learning engagement.Keywords: online learning engagement, online learning, nursing education, international collaborative nursing program
