Abstract [en]

Background: Nursing trainees move from teaching to the clinic, which is a change in identity with generally high levels of stress due to a variety of reasons. Currently, there is no research for the time being examining the stress-related factors of clinical practice nursing students of Lishui University.Aim:The aim of this study is to investigate the factors associated with stress among nursing students in clinical practice.Methods:This study is a cross-sectional study,with the method of convenience sampling. demographic information questionnaire and Chinese version Perceived Stress Scaled. were used to survey nursing students in clinical practice in Lishui University using a questionnaire survey.General data were described by frequency, mean, percentage and standard deviation. Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between demographics and the mean score of students' total value for nursing students in clinical practice.Results: The present study demonstrated clinical practice nursing students of Lishui Universityare under great pressure and the stress of clinical practice nursing students in Lishui University was positively correlated with their gender (r=0.476, p<0.01) and age (r=0.259,p=0.01).Conclusions:The level of stress among clinical practice nursing students in Lishui University wasrelatively greater and significantly correlated with gender and age.Therefore, nursing education administrators can refer to the stress level of nursing students and related factors in this study to develop corresponding measures to control the stress level of nursingstudents within a reasonable range.Keywords: stress, nursing students, clinical practice
