Abstract [en]
Data acquisition and processing are one of the blistering topics in the manufacturing industry, especially in the steel manufacturing sector. The acquisition, and processing of an immense amount of data in a time-efficient way is one of the biggest problems today. Data acquisition is the recording of data in the form of sample signals, essentially the information is recorded in the form of samples and used to interpret the real-world physical conditions whereas the interoperability of systems is the exchange of information between different systems. This interoperability of systems where systems use to exchange information with each other and use it for productivity tasks has been addressed concerning iba Systems. The task included investigating different modules/add-ons of iba-software for processing, comparing, combining, analyzing, and displaying data. The identified data sources are tube mill data which displays information of the moment, Piercing Mill is the stage from which values of moment are being recorded. The data from these sources have been analyzed, combined, and compared in a productive manner with the help of mathematical, logical, and built-in expressions in iba-software. The calculated values are then displayed in ibaAnalyzer-Reportgenerator. Additionally, all the statistical values calculated have been displayed in the form of a table with the help of ibaDavis. To simplify the whole task, macros have been developed. In the end, all the data has been displayed in ibaDavis by using different types of tiles.
