Psychological vitamins relationship to well-being, life satisfaction and job satisfaction. (English)
Abstract [sv]

Totalt deltog 187 respondenter i undersökningen.

Abstract [en]

The purpose of this study was to examine the relations between Warr's nine vitamins in the context-free and work-related form of the three measures of mental health; namely well being, life satisfaction and job satisfaction and to examine whether there are demographic differences in the latter measurements. The study was conducted at an industrial company in Swedenusing a questionnaire. A total of 187 respondents participated in the survey. The instruments that have been used are Warr's vitamin model, Mental Health Continuum, Satisfaction With Life Scale and the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire. The results showed that eight out of nine vitamins significantly correlated to the outcome measures. The results also showed that the vitamins valued social position, opportunity for interpersonal contact, opportunity for skill use, physical security, opportunity for control, variety, and availability of money are the vitamins that best predicts mental health with an explained variance of between 40-69 %. The results also showed that women have a significantly higher life satisfaction and job satisfaction than men. However, the result showed no differences in well-being between age groups, nor for age group in interaction with gender.
