Abstract [sv]

Syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka vad bilden och det bildskapande arbetet har för betydelse för kunskap i ett samarbete mellan museum, universitet och skola. Jag har genomfört observationer av elevers besök på en bildutställning i kemi på BildMuseet Umeå universitet. Besöket innehöll bildvisning och efterföljande workshop med en bildpedagog och en kemist. Resultatet av observationerna visade att bilden, det visuella, användes i kunskapssyfte främst gällande kemi. Det ansågs av informanterna vara ett sätt att nå eleverna på ett annat sätt än text och tal för att vi lär oss på olika sätt och att det krävs olika sätt att lära ut på. Kvalitativa intervjuer har genomförts med projektets inblandade: en bildpedagog, en kemist, en intendent och en lärare. Resultatet av intervjuerna visade att bakgrunden till samarbetet var slumpmässig, att en del samarbetsproblem förekommit men att samtliga informanter var nöjda med samarbetet. Bildvisningen och workshopen på BildMuseet hade som mål att vara lustfylld för att eleverna skulle få en positiv uppfattning om kemi. Samtliga informanter motiverade att innehållet hade många förutsättningar att leda till detta.

Abstract [en]

The purpose of the paper was to examine what the image and the image creation work has implications for literacy in collaboration between museums, universities and schools. I have carried out observations of students ' visits to a picture exhibition in chemistry, BildMuseet Umeå University. The visit included the image viewing and subsequent workshop with an art educator and a chemist. The result of observations showed that the image, the visual, was used in the knowledge order mainly applicable chemistry. It was considered as a way to reach students differently than text and numbers that we learn differently and requires different ways of learning. Qualitative interviews were carried out with the project involved: an art educator, a chemist, a curator and a teacher. The result of the interviews showed that the background to cooperation was truly random, that some collaboration problems occurred but that they all were satisfied with the cooperation. The image is displayed and the workshop on BildMuseet that aimed to be pleasurable to the students would have a positive perception of chemistry. They all motivated that the content had many conditions that lead to this.
