Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

The purpose of this study was to examine what kind of obstacles and possibilities managers and HR co-workers experience in the internal communication within the Organization. Another aim was to examine which communication channels were best suited for the Organization’s communication. Four fictitious cases in the strategic and operative communication matters were discussed in two focus groups interviews with six managers and six HR co-workers. Data were analyzed using inductive thematic analysis. The study showed that both managers and HR co-workers considered the internal communication as vital. Though, they experienced some hindrance in the internal communication between managers and HR co-workers. Sometimes they interpreted messages from their professional role. This resulted in a different prioritization in the communication matter. Furthermore,  in the operative communication field the most significant communication channel was personal meetings, because, that they have the opportunity to get a better understanding of each other and share a common opinion. In strategic communication matters, personal meetings were perceived as most important in the beginning and the end of matters.
