Abstract [sv]

Other symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, fatigue, shortness of breath and sweating may also belong to the symptoms of myocardial infarction. These symptoms can sometimes lead to misdiagnosis. Women's experiences during a heart attack is that for various reasons they often deny their symptoms and that it may lead to delayed care. The result also shows women's experiences of changed conditions of life after myocardial infarction with mental and physical complications and the need for information. Conclusion: Women are often difficult to interpret their symptoms of heart attack symptoms, then the images may look different from person to person, this can lead to delayed care. Better knowledge needed in health care for the treatment of women with heart attacks, and to provide the right information to the patient.
