Abstract [sv]

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur grupper fungerar utifrån aspekter inom psykologisk säkerhet och hur det skulle kunna fungera bättre. Ett ytterligare syfte var att undersöka betydelsen och utvecklingen av psykologisk säkerhet inom en del av organisationen som kommer att delta i studien. Två stycken fokusgruppsintervjuer genomfördes med tre till fyra personer där fyra olika fiktiva fall användes som utgångspunkt i diskussionen mellan intervjupersonerna. Materialet analyserades med en induktiv tematisk analys, vilket mynnade ut i två olika temaområden; Verktyg för utveckling av psykologisk säkerhet och Svårigheter för utveckling av psykologisk säkerhet. I studien framkom det viktiga aspekter från båda dessa huvudteman från deltagarna som sedan lade grunden för olika underkategorier till de huvudteman som framkommit. Vid verktyg för utveckling av psykologisk säkerhet framkom underkategorierna respekt, god kommunikation, ärlighet, tillgänglighet, konfliktlösare. Vid svårigheter för utveckling av psykologisk säkerhet framkom: att ge och ta emot konstruktiv kritik, rädsla för förändring och hämmad arbetsmiljö.

Abstract [en]

The purpose of this study was to examine how groups function on the basis of aspects of psychological safety and how it develops. Also to examine the role and development of psychological safety within the organization that has participated in the study. Two focus group interviews were executed with three to four people where four different fictitious cases were used as a base for discussion among the interviewees. The material was then analyzed using an inductive thematic analysis, which resulted in two thematic areas; Tools for the development of psychological safety and difficulties in the development of psychological safety. The study revealed important aspects of both of these main themes from the participants who then laid the foundation for the various subcategories of the main themes emerged. The subcategories for the tools in the development of psychological safety were respect, good communication, honesty, accessibility and conflict solver. The subcategories for the difficulties in the development of psychological safety were to give and receive constructive criticism, fear of change and hampered work environment
