    Abstract [en]

    The main domain in which eating disorders are defined is medical, whereas socio-cultural perspectives are less common. Because social workers seeks to explain different problems taking societal factors into account, we asked ourselves if social workers have a way of understanding eating disorders, that is different from a medical point of view. Two focus group interviews were conducted; the one composed by social workers with experience of working with eating disorders, and the other by social workers without that experience, which enabled comparisons. The interviews were analyzed using socio-cultural and feminist perspectives. The result showed that the social workers use socio-cultural perspectives in explaining eating disorders. Both groups also emphasized the medical perspective, but the first group where less willing than the other to depart from this perspective. The conclusion were made that the social workers having experience of working with eating disorders are more into the medical discourse than are the ones without this experience.

    Abstract [en]

    The number of Swedish students applying to technical education is decreasing, and this fact will lead to a severe shortage of engineers in a just a decade. As an example, the candidates applying to the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) has reduced by 30 % the last couple of years. Furthermore, the ROSE report clearly describes young people’s lack of interest in science and technology in the industrialised world in sharp contrast to the situation in the developing countries.

    Why is the interest for technical education decreasing? What makes other fields of education more popular? What image of technology does the compulsory school deliver?

    Technology was introduced as a mandatory subject in Swedish compulsory school in 1980 and got its own syllabus when the current national curriculum was introduced in 1994. One of the goals of the Swedish compulsory school is to develop an interest for technology as well as capability and judgement in handling technical issues.

    In what way does the Swedish compulsory school work with this goal? Is the school successful in making pupils interested? What are the pupils’ opinions?

    Each school can decide when and how the pupils get technology education, but every pupil is expected and entitled to reach the national goals.

    To get an overall picture of the technology subject questions will be investigated as parts of tree different Ph.D. projects.

    • How do we actually know that pupils learn what they are entitled to?
    • How is the technology syllabus interpreted, in theory and practice?
    • Does the technology subject really develop an interest for technology and does it inspire to further technical studies? 

    In order to find out if pupils reach the national goals in technology, a questionnaire is launched in schools all over Sweden. The interpretation of the syllabus will be studied through observations comparing teaching practice with the local planning of the technology subject. To get answers, whether the technology subject has any impact on the interest and the choice of further studies, interviews are made among students and teachers in compulsory school as well as in upper secondary school.

    The findings of the cooperating projects will together contribute with answers about the state of the technology education in the Swedish compulsory school system, and how the subject could be developed in the future.

    Krisen i tillströmningen till svensk teknikutbildning har uppmärksammats kraftigt av avnämarkategorierna den senaste tiden. Fackföreningen Sveriges Ingenjörer hävdar att om inget görs kommer det år 2020 att fattas 50 000 ingenjörer, vilket motsvarar en fjärdedel av arbetsstyrkan i vid bemärkelse om något mer än ett decennium. I ROSE-rapporten beskrivs ett allmänt ointresse för tekniska och naturvetenskapliga studier bland I-ländernas ungdomar i skarp kontrast till ungdomar i utvecklingsländer. Detta beror på att elevernas väljer utbildning efter värderingar och identiteter, vilket inte tycks uppfyllas av tekniska studier.

     

    I föreliggande arbete kommer faktorer för ungdomars studieval att kartläggas. Den svenska grundskolans teknikämne har ett uttalade mål - att utveckla intresse för teknik. Undersökningen vänder sig direkt till eleverna och försöker ge svar på om teknikämnet lever upp till detta mål. De lokala kursplanerna skiljer sig avsevärt och de typer som man kan hitta på skolornas webbplatser är oftast av någon av följande typer:

    1.      Lokal kursplan som i detalj beskriver vad som skall behandlas årskursvis samt de mål som eleven förväntas uppnå.

    2.      Nationella kursplanen utan lokala tolkningar eller specifikationer för ämnets genomförande.

    3.      En synnerligen kort lokal kursplan (mera traditionella ämnen är vanligtvis avsevärt mera specificerade).

    4.      Ingen kursplan för teknikämnet presenteras överhuvudtaget.

     

    Undersökningen tar även hänsyn till lärarnas kompetens inom ämnet och sätter resultatet i relation till bristfällig utbildning.

     

    Frågeställningar: Hur kan man genomföra god utbildning i teknikämnet utan kursplan eller endast med den nationella kursplanen möjligen kompletterad med synnerligen rudimentära tolkningar och specifikationer? Hur kan en lärare med bristfällig utbildning inom ämnet genomföra högkvalitativ undervisning och utveckla elevernas intresse? Finns det en korrelation mellan vagt specificerade kursplaner, lärares brister i utbildning, samhällets signaler om att förverkliga personliga mål i samklang med den egna identiteten, samt den mångfacetterade svenska gymnasieskolan, som kan ge svar på varför elever avstår från högre tekniska studier? Vilka är elevernas synpunkter på teknikämnet som inspirationskälla och vad minns man från undervisningen efter någon tid? I vilken mån utvecklade teknikämnet ett tekniskt intresse och gav det i så fall resultat i valet av gymnasieutbildning?

     

    Undersökningen är primärt baserad på en fenomenologisk kvalitativ metod med djupintervjuer. I detta arbete kommer pilotintervjuer att redovisas – ett sätt att förfina metoden och senare göra mera omfattande intervjuarbete där egna förutfattade meningar om intervjuobjekten minimeras, informationen renodlas och resultat syntetiseras.

     

    Urvalet av intervjuobjekt sker i grundskolans sista år, då eleverna bestämt sig för gymnasieinriktning (oavsett vilket) och därför sannolikt kan ge information om vilka faktorer som inverkade. Urvalet kommer att ske såväl med tanke på kön (teknikutbildning är manligt dominerad) som hemvist (uppväxt på landet eller i tätort) - faktorer som kan ha betydelse i studievalet.

     

    Elever från gymnasiets första (och möjligen andra) år kommer att delta i en enkätundersökning för att undersöka om deras teknikintresse har ändrats. Enkäten kommer senare att utnyttjas på intervjuobjekten från grundskolan, när de påbörjat gymnasiala studier, och resultaten jämförs med den tidigare informationen från intervjuerna.

    Technology is a neglected mandatory subject in the Swedish compulsory school. The subject is supposed to inspire young people to consider a technical career, due to an increasing need for engineers and a declining recruitment to engineering education.

    An investigation of influential factors for choosing a technical career is presented. The factors are well-known, but the relative impact of the factors is investigated using questionnaires and semi-structured interviews with engineering students. Special focus is put on the effect of previous technical schooling. The most important factors for choosing technical education are personal technical interest, future salary expectations, and personal qualities.

    Uppsatsens syfte är att belysa dramapedagogers olika uppfattningar av att arbeta med konflikthantering i skolan för att fördjupa kunskapen om dramapedagogisk didaktik i sammanhanget.  Ansatsen är inspirerad av fenomenografi och hermeneutik. Empirin analyseras i olika beskrivningskategorier som utgör det så kallade utfallsrummet och söker svaret på frågeställningen:

    Vilka olika uppfattningar har dramapedagoger av konflikthantering i skolan?

    Undersökningens fyra beskrivningskategorier består av pedagogiskt förhållningssätt, lyckade exempel, svårigheter och pedagogisk kompetens. Vidare görs en hermeneutisk tolkning där resultatet kopplas till Sternudds (2000) dramapedagogiska perspektiv. Där ställs frågan:

    Kan uppfattningarna tolkas med inspiration av hermeneutik enligt Sternudds (2000) dramapedagogiska perspektiv?

    Tre av de fyra perspektiven återfinns i informanternas utsagor, det holistiskt lärande perspektivet, det kritiskt frigörande perspektivet samt det personlighetsutvecklande perspektivet. Svårigheter som dramapedagogerna uppfattar sig möta i sammanhanget handlar om att vara inlyssnande, tidsaspekten samt att komma in utifrån på en skola.

    Syfte: Den nya leasingstandarden IFRS 16 träder i kraft i år, 2019, vilken innebär att företag ska kapitalisera sina operationella leasingavtal. Huvudsyftet med studien är därför att undersöka hur denna kapitalisering påverkar företag med avseende på deras finansiella rapporter och nyckeltal. Studien har även ett delsyfte vilket är att undersöka hur väl kapitaliseringsmodellen har estimerat operationella leasingavtalens påverkan utifrån utvalda nyckeltal hos företag.

    Metod: Studien använder ett kvantitativt tillvägagångssätt med en deduktiv forskningsansats. Empiriska data har samlats in med hjälp av en innehållsanalys där de dokument som granskats är årsredovisningar. Det insamlade materialet har sedan granskats med hjälp av deskriptiv statistik och bivariata analyser. Kapitaliseringsmodellen har också tillämpats för att kunna jämföra modellens estimeringar med verkliga utfallet. Resultaten har sedan diskuterats och lett till studiens slutsatser.

    Resultat & Slutsats: Resultaten av studien visar att tillgångar och skulder ökar för företag efter införandet av IFRS 16. Studien kommer fram till att branscherna hälsovård och detaljhandel kommer påverkas mest, att mindre företag samt mindre finansiellt begränsade företag påverkas mer. Studien finner att kapitaliseringsmodellen i regel har fungerat bra, främst inom branschen fastigheter och för större företag.

    Uppsatsens bidrag: Teoretiskt bidrar studien till avsaknaden av forskning om de faktiska effekterna hos företag på grund av implementeringen av IFRS 16. Den ger också ett svar på hur väl kapitaliseringsmodellen har fungerat, vilket kan vara användbart för såväl analytiker som forskare. Det praktiska bidraget är att studien bidrar till en ökad förståelse kring hur företag och olika branscher påverkas av den nya leasingstandarden.

    Förslag till fortsatt forskning: Ett förslag till vidare forskning är att studera ett större urval för att kunna få ett mer generaliserbart resultat. Ett annat förslag är att göra liknande studier i andra länder, för att se om regelförändringen slår hårdare på andra marknader.

    The impact of motivation and person-job fit on employee turnover among Swedish real estate brokers: A mixed method approach2022Doctoral thesis, comprehensive summary (Other academic)
    Abstract [en]

    Residential real estate is a vital part of the economy, and homes are important for individuals for both financial and emotional reasons. Residential homes change owners for numerous reasons, and there is a need for these transactions to be secure and efficient from both the economic and individual perspective. The general idea of residential real estate brokerage is to facilitate these transactions securely and efficiently. Real estate brokerage has therefore captured both media as well as scholarly interest. Some scholars even argue that brokerage is a relevant research and literature field of its own. Like other occupations within sales, the brokerage industry suffers from problems connected to recruiting and retaining employees, as put forth by several spokespersons within the industry and scholars alike. Prior studies argue that there is a need for further studies that describe the occupational life cycle of brokers and employee turnover antecedents, such as intrinsic motivation. Hence, the overarching purpose of this thesis is to describe and analyze occupational turnover and its antecedents among Swedish real estate brokers. This thesis sprung out of a firsthand occupational experience of Swedish brokerage, curiosity, and an abductive stance toward knowledge creation. It is primarily explorative, and the embedded articles consist of different types of methodologic approaches and therefore also different ways of gathering data such as interviews, surveys, and registered data. All data solely involves Swedish real estate brokers. Results of the four articles show that the occupational life cycle of brokers is significantly longer than expected and that Swedish brokers display high levels of work-related intrinsic motivation, occasionally rooted in affective commitment towards customers and gained trust from sellers. Furthermore, being driven by gained trust and customer relations has a positive effect on person-job fit which in turn reduces turnover intentions. A majority of the results within the four articles are not in line with prior studies, which is interesting and prompts speculation. The service landscape of brokerage, and particularly Swedish brokerage due to the broker’s intermediary role and personal responsibility for the entire transaction, arguably drives intrinsic motivation and reduces turnover. This is enhanced by the high educational threshold for becoming a broker in Sweden. This thesis contributes to the literature field of brokerage by providing insights about what motivates brokers and the theoretical field of person-job fit by suggesting ways of improving the operationalization and the validity of person-job fit.

    Purpose

    The purpose of this article is to describe and analyze the occupational life cycle of Swedish real estate brokers.

    Design/methodology/approachVoluntary turnover among real estate brokers could lead to occupational turnover and/or employee turnover and has been described as problematic by both practitioners and researchers alike. Most previous studies focusing on this issue have explored connections between real estate brokers' personality, economic and market conditions and turnover. Employee turnover involves shifting jobs within the profession (real estate brokerage), whereas occupational turnover concerns movement to a job not related to the real estate brokerage profession. Both perspectives on turnover are however lacking data about the average time spent as a broker. This study fills this gap by exploring real estate brokers' life cycle through data analysis using a cohort study consisting of a sample of 5,304 real estate brokers registered and/or deregistered over a ten-year period from 2010 to 2019.

    Findings

    The analysis show that the decline is almost linear, resulting in 50% of the newly registered real estate brokers remain in the occupation eight years after registration. These findings are not in line with previous assumptions as the real estate brokers' life cycle is substantially longer. The results also reveal that there are differences in life cycles due to gender and year of registration.

    Originality/value

    The analysis of longitudinal, aggregated data on the life cycle of real estate brokers is highly relevant as it serves as a point of reference for future longitudinal studies analyzing the motives for leaving the occupation.

    Abstract [en]

    The purpose of this exploratory case study is to analyze the role of relational motivation for high-performing real estate brokers in Sweden. The concept of relational motivation, or relatedness, is explored through both affective and calculative commitment. The data in this study come from in-depth interviews with real estate brokers. The results show that the brokers are committed to their clients, in an affective and a calculative way. All of the participants expressed signs of being emotionally involved in their customer relations, often in terms of genuine interest in, and caring for, their clients. The existence of relatedness toward customers in a brokerage context contributes to the discussion on what motivates high-performing real estate brokers. By viewing relatedness as a trigger to engage in more customer relationships, the intrinsic motivation can be seen as a strong antecedent to individual performance.

    The impact of gained trust on person-job fit and occupational turnover. The case of residential real estate brokersManuscript (preprint) (Other academic)
    Abstract [en]

    This study explores if received trust is intrinsically motivating and if it is associated with subjective person-job fit and occupational turnover intentions in the Swedish brokerage setting. Results from 397 real estate brokers showed that brokers are driven by the gained trust from their sellers and that gained trust is a vital part of person-job fit within brokerage. Furthermore, increased levels of person-job fit strongly reduce occupational turnover intentions within brokerage. This study offers further insights into intrinsic motivation in professional service settings and indicates that certain types of customer interactions help to fulfill the basic psychological needs of competence and relatedness.

    Do intrinsic rewards matter for Swedish real estate brokers? A quantitative empirical generalizationManuscript (preprint) (Other academic)
    Abstract [en]

    Purpose - Intrinsic motivation affects job satisfaction and turnover intention. Still, previous motivational studies among real estate brokers (brokers) have primarily focused on extrinsic rewards leaving intrinsic rewards/motivation practically unexplored. The purpose of this study is therefore to evaluate the role of both satisfaction with intrinsic rewards (SIR) and satisfaction with extrinsic rewards (SER) on job satisfaction and turnover intention among Swedish brokers.

    Design/methodology/approach - This article is an empirical generalization and extension of Mosquera et al.’s (2020) article conducted among brokers in Portugal. Using a sample of 910 Swedish brokers, the study analyzes a conceptual framework and tests hypotheses by using partial least squares (PLS).

    Findings - Results indicate that SIR has a very strong impact on job satisfaction, which is not the case in the Portuguese sample. On the other hand, SER does not have an impact on job satisfaction, which is the case in the Portuguese sample. SIR does not have an impact on turnover intention in the Swedish sample, whereas SER does. Job satisfaction has twice the positive impact on turnover intention in the Swedish sample compared to the Portuguese. Furthermore, job satisfaction mediates the relationship between SIR/SER and turnover intention.

    Research limitations/implications - Findings of this study extend the existing literature of satisfaction with extrinsic and in particular intrinsic rewards on job satisfaction and turnover intention in the context of the brokerage industry. The most interesting difference between the samples is that Swedish brokers display much higher levels of satisfaction with intrinsic rewards. On the other hand, Swedish brokers appear to be less driven by extrinsic rewards, which is not in line with prior studies within brokerage.

    Practical implications - Both managers and students planning to become brokers should consider that SIR has a stronger impact on job satisfaction than SER. What are perceived as intrinsic rewards, however, is highly subjective, which is troublesome from a managerial perspective, even more so as SIR is much harder to influence than SER. Given that intrinsic motivation is primarily a consequence of needs fulfillment, screening of applicants for person-job fit ought to increase job satisfaction and reduce turnover given its focus on the congruence between job demands and worker’s needs, respectively what a job provides and the worker’s needs.

    Originality/value - This study contributes to the brokerage research field by indicating that being a broker differs substantially between countries and that intrinsic rewards matter for Swedish brokers.

    Abstract [en]

    Purpose

    Intrinsic motivation affects job satisfaction and turnover intention. Still, previous motivational studies among real estate brokers (brokers) have primarily focused on extrinsic rewards, leaving intrinsic rewards/motivation practically unexplored. The purpose of this study is therefore to evaluate the role of both satisfaction with intrinsic rewards (SIR) and satisfaction with extrinsic rewards (SER) on job satisfaction and turnover intention among Swedish brokers.

    Design/methodology/approach

    This article is a replication, more precisely an empirical generalization and extension, of Mosquera et al .’s (2020) study conducted among brokers in Portugal. Using a sample of 910 Swedish brokers, the study analyzes a conceptual framework and tests hypotheses by using partial least squares (PLS).

    Findings

    Results indicate that SIR has a very strong impact on job satisfaction, which is not the case in the Portuguese sample. On the other hand, SER does not have an impact on job satisfaction, which is the case in the Portuguese sample. SIR does not have an impact on turnover intention in the Swedish sample, whereas SER does. Job satisfaction has twice the positive impact on turnover intention in the Swedish sample compared to the Portuguese. Furthermore, job satisfaction mediates the relationship between SIR/SER and turnover intention.

    Research limitations/implications

    Findings of this study extend the existing literature of satisfaction with extrinsic and in particular intrinsic rewards on job satisfaction and turnover intention in the context of the brokerage industry. The most interesting difference between the samples is that Swedish brokers display much higher levels of satisfaction with intrinsic rewards. On the other hand, Swedish brokers appear to be less driven by extrinsic rewards, which is not in line with prior studies within brokerage.Practical implicationsBoth managers and students planning to become brokers should consider that SIR has a stronger impact on job satisfaction than SER. What are perceived as intrinsic rewards, however, is highly subjective, which is troublesome from a managerial perspective, even more so as SIR is much harder to influence than SER. Given that intrinsic motivation is primarily a consequence of needs fulfillment, screening of applicants for person-job fit ought to increase job satisfaction and reduce turnover given its focus on the congruence between job demands and worker’s needs, respectively, what a job provides and the worker’s needs.

    Originality/value

    This study contributes to the brokerage research field by indicating that being a broker differs substantially between countries and that intrinsic rewards matter for Swedish brokers.

    Syftet med studien är att skapa förståelse för lågstadieelevers kunskaper inom ämnesområdet mätning av tid. Studien baseras på ett skriftligt kvantitativt klocktest som 13 elever i årskurs 2 och 5 elever i årskurs 3 har genomfört, samt kvalitativa elevintervjuer som fyra elever i respektive årskurs har genomfört. Klocktesten har analyserats numeriskt och elevintervjuerna har analyserats tematiskt. Den teoretiska utgångspunkten är den sociokulturella teorin med inslag av lösningsstrategier. Studiens resultat indikerar att lågstadieelever har bättre kunskaper om den analoga klockan, jämfört med den digitala klockan. När eleverna har löst uppgifter om avläsning och mätning av tid har de främst använt strategin räkna uppåt. Slutsatsen som kan dras utifrån det är att lågstadieelever har kunskaper om klockan, men det finns kunskapsskillnader mellan de olika klocktyperna och mellan eleverna. Samtliga elever kunde redogöra för minst en lösningsstrategi som användes vid klockuppgifterna men strategierna fungerade olika bra.

    Aim: Previous research presents the majority of motives when implementing CSR. Motivations raise awareness of why companies implement CSR. Knowledge about the motivation for implementing CSR in SMEs is inadequate, as previous studies have primarily focused on large companies. The aim of the study is to increase understanding of the motives underlying the implementation of CSR in SMEs, focusing on the value-motive, the economy-motive and the stakeholder-motive.

                        

    Method: The study is based on a hermeneutical and social constructivist perspective with an abductive research effort. The study applies a qualitative survey method in which empirical data collection was conducted using semi-structured interviews. The theoretical frame of reference is based on previous research and the empirical material is grouped according to the themes and categories that arose during the interviews. Based on the abductive research effort, the theoretical reference frame and empirical data have been analyzed in interaction with each other to answer the purpose of the study.

                    

    Conclusions: The study suggests that the value-driven, the performance-drivenand the stakeholder-driven motive form the basis for implementing CSR in SMEs. The study also shows that the value-driven motive is the motive considered to be the most central and significant role in implementing CSR in SMEs.

     

    Suggestions for future research: Further research should focus on the importance of the motives when implementing CSR in specific industries. Also, the stakeholders' perspective on the issue can be studied by looking at whether the motives for implementing CSR are perceived by stakeholders.

     

    Contribution of the thesis: From a theoretical perspective, this study contributes with an understanding that the value-driven, the performance-drivenand the stakeholder-driven motive can be applied in a study on implementation of CSR in SMEs. From a practical perspective, this study contributes with advice about how companies and their leaders can increase knowledge about CSR and apply CSR-activities tailored to the company's conditions.

    Förmågan att lyssna är en viktig kommunikativ kompetens för att människan ska kunna förstå sin omvärld. Samtidigt har läsningen traditionellt sett en dominerande roll i grundskolesammanhang i fråga om kunskapsinhämtning. Modellen Simple View of Reading har ett omfattande stöd i forskningen och anger att avkodning och språkförståelse, där hörförståelse ingår, ligger till grund för läsförståelse. Med sambandet mellan hörförståelse och läsförståelse i åtanke har denna studie för avsikt att utifrån kvantitativ data undersöka elevers förmåga att förstå en elevnära, åldersadekvat och skönlitterär text dels utifrån traditionell läsning, dels utifrån ett färdiginspelat ljudboksformat. Totalt har 109 elever i årskurs fyra, från två olika skolor utspridda på fem klasser, deltagit i undersökningen och antingen läst eller lyssnat på texten Anton och gänget. Eleverna har svarat på flervalsfrågor om texten via det digitala formatet Google Formulär och frågorna har tagits fram utifrån de fyra läsförståelseprocesser som ligger till grund för den internationella studien PIRLS. Studiens resultat visar att det finns statistiskt signifikanta skillnader både för läsförståelseprocesserna 3 och 4. Utifrån resultaten finns det skäl att diskutera huruvida det finns en outnyttjad potential i ljudboksformatet för svenskämnet i skolan.

    We came in contact with a couple of estate agents, when we in the fall of 2006 were about to sell our apartments. What we discovered were that estate agents in Gävle haven’t had the same development as the estate agents in Stockholm, from where we have experiences by our practice as estate agents. Our thesis in this paper is that “Slow estate agents in Gävle, makes it easy for new establishers”. The purpose with this paper is to examine if there is a possibility for an estate agent from Stockholm to establish in Gävle with methods typically for the Stockholm market.

    Our thesis has been acknowledged in our interviews with the estate agents in Gävle. They are fully aware of that they have a similar concept as their competitors. They find it hard to point out unique selling propositions of their own company. They do not seem to have any plans to develop their service, despite knowledge of their lack of unique selling propositions. We have, in the end of this paper, made some suggestions what we would have done differently as estate agents in Gävle. We have suggestions in the areas of availability, marketing, sales, technique and other services that could be used.

    Abstract [en]

    The purpose of the study was to describe what attitudes there were among recipients and donors about the guiding principles that should comply with oocyte- and sperm donation. The purpose was also to investigate if there were any differences within the groups of recipient women and men and the donor group considering disclosure to the child about their origin.

    The study became a part of a national project. Data were collected with questionnaire that included earlier described aspects. It was formed with statements to take stands towards in form of “agree” or “disagree”. Number of participants were 333 and data were collected from April 2005 until spring 2008.

    The main results found that among donors and the attitudes toward the child’s right to get knowledge about their origin showed that women was significantly more positive in several aspects then the men. The results also showed that considering the guiding principles that should comply with gametes donation the recipients and donors had just about similar attitudes. For the recipients there was only the women who had a significant difference in one of the statements, otherwise there was no difference in either of both groups for the attitudes about disclosure to the child.

    Abstract [en]

    Venepuncture and the insertion of peripheral venous catheters are common tasks in health care, and training in these procedures is included in nursing programmes. Evidence of nursing students’ knowledge and skills in these procedures is limited. The main aim of this study was to assess nursing students’ knowledge and skills when performing venepuncture and inserting peripheral venous catheters. Potential associations between level of knowledge and skills, self-training, self-efficacy, and demographic characteristics were also investigated. The assessment was performed by lecturers at a university college in Sweden using the two previously tested instruments "Assess Venepuncture"€ and "Assess Peripheral Venous Catheter Insertion". Between 81% and 100% of steps were carried out correctly by the students. The step with the highest rating was "€œUses gloves", and lowest rating was "€˜Informs the patients about the possibility of obtaining local anaesthesia"€™. Significant correlations between degree of self-training and correct performance were found in the group of students who registered their self-training. No associations between demographic characteristics and correct performances were found. Assessing that students have achieved adequate levels of knowledge and skills in these procedures at different levels of the nursing education is of importance to prevent complications and support patient safety.

    Abstract [en]

    Purpose: Performing venepuncture is one of the most routinely performed invasive procedures in nursing care. The aim of this study was to develop instruments for the assessment of nursing students' knowledge and skills when performing venepuncture and inserting a peripheral venous catheter. 
Methods: Two instruments were developed using the following steps. 1) Assessment items of importance for the procedures (venepuncture 48 items and peripheral venous catheter 51 items) were collected from focus groups including nurses, lecturers and patients. 2) The number of items was reduced using a method based on the Delphi method. Experts (n=51) reviewed the instruments in two rounds. The revised versions included 31 items for venepuncture and 33 items for peripheral venous catheter insertion. 3) Usability tests were conducted by nurses who tested the instruments to confirm that items were possible to assess. 4) Inter-rater reliability was assessed by twelve lecturers who in pairs, but independently of each other, used the instruments to assess 50 nursing students. 
Results: Proportion of agreement and Cohen's kappa coefficient were calculated for each item to determine inter-rater reliability. Among the tested items for both instruments, the median proportion of agreement was 1 (range 0.66-1) and the median kappa was 0.52 (range 0.22-1). 
Conclusions: The instruments developed for assessing nursing students' knowledge and skills of venepuncture and peripheral venous catheter insertion showed satisfactory inter-rater reliability.

    Within the era of the fourth industrial revolution the steel production industry is faced with demands of lower environmental impact and more cost-effective production are some of the challenges faced. To achieve more sustainable and efficient manufacturing processes companies try to digitalize and automate their production to a greater extent. Creating more robust, energy-efficient and adaptable solutions to increase the competitiveness of their company.

    This master thesis is about reverse engineering an existing solution for vibration measurements used at Alleima Strip. The goal was to create a new in-house solution for vibration measurements according to local programming standards using an ABB AC500v2 CPU paired with a FM502-CMS module. Using vibration measurements as a health indicator Alleima Strip hopes to progress their way of working with maintenance towards being more condition based.

    The result is a solution for vibration measurements customized for Alleima Strip. The report contains suggestions for improvements of the developed solution as well as ideas for future work.

    The fourth industrial revolution means that the steel manufacturing industry are faced with great challenges, where less environmental impact combined with high competition sets high expectations for the manufacturing method of steel. To achieve improvements in manufacturing and raise competitiveness, many manufacturers choose to digitalize their businesses to a greater extent. As a step in the digitalization process, Sandvik SMT Strip has chosen to extend one of their existing control systems with a CMS-module and sensors for vibration measurement.

    This bachelor thesis intends to present a proof of concept for presenting and storing data collected through vibration measurement in a cold rolling mill at Sandvik SMT Strip. The thesis work will be part of a pilot project at Sandvik SMT Strip. The goal of the pilot project is to achieve a well implemented vibration measurement solution to be able to use more predictive maintenance instead of the proactive and reactive maintenance used today. If an adaptation can be achieved where predictive maintenance is used to a larger extent the prospects are to save resources and time.

    The method for this thesis work has been experimental work in which the desired results have been governing. The result of this thesis work is a solution proposal for storing and presenting the data of vibration measurement in both time and frequency domain. Some parts of the solution proposal have been started with the goal to achieve a proof of concept.

    The conclusion presented in this thesis work is that an implementation for storing and presenting collected data with the desired soft- and hardware is possible, but more time is needed to obtain a proof of concept.

    Aim: The aim is to describe and analyze how companies work with CSR as part of the brand and how it affects consumers when choosing store.

    Method: The study applied quantitative methodology and supporting data collection is survey carried out. The data collected is processed and presented in the report by the use of pie charts and bar charts. We have also used qualitative method by carrying out two e-mail interviews with Coop and ICA. Secondary data was collected through the Internet and from corporate websites. To obtain theoretical support, we have used scientific articles and books. The results were analyzed by compiling and encoding the material that we collected. 

    esult & Conclusions: The results show that companies in the study present itself as very responsible on the website. The interviews show that both companies, represented by Coop and ICA, that they put a lot of work in CSR. They work closely with various organizations and the environmental label products as consumers through to purchase can contribute to a better environment and a better society. From analysis shows that firms operating in a similar way when it comes to CSR. The difference is that Coop is working more with communication in relation to customers than what ICA does. With regard to consumers, they believe that Coop is more responsible than ICA. One conclusion is that customers believe that CSR is important but when they get to the actual choices they choose based on other criteria. 

    Suggestions for future research: What we see as interesting to further research is how consumers prioritize and select retailers in other industries. Another proposal is to study how the companies in our study may influence consumers to make more responsible choices.

    Contribution of the thesis: The study grant is that we have been able to show that the majority of consumers believe it is important that the store they shop in taking social and environmental responsibility for the products they sell. We have seen that even though they say that it is essential to social and environmental responsibility, it has low importance when choosing store. Consumers say it's important to social and environmental responsibility, but then when they choose themselves, it's proximity to the most important thing.

    Syfte: Syftet med studien är att öka förståelsen för hur kriskommunikation vid en förtroendekris används och hur förtroendeingivande kriskommunikationen uppfattas av allmänheten, med utgångspunkt från Image restoration theory.

    Metod: Studiens metoder består av en kombination av en kvalitativ innehållsanalys och en kvantitativ enkätstudie.

    Resultat & Slutsats: Det som kan synas i resultaten av innehållsanalysen är att kriskommunikationen vid en förtroendekris innefattar strategierna “korrigerande åtgärd”, “bakomliggande orsaker”, “goda avsikter”, “erkännande av fel”, “stöttande”, “minimera”, “fördel” och “enkel förnekelse”. De strategier som inte användes vid en förtroendekris var “skylla ifrån sig”, “olycka”, “differentiering”, “attackera den anklagande parten”, “provokation” och “kompensera”. Intressenternas uppfattning beror dels på målgrupp, användning av strategierna och mediernas inverkan. Mest förtroendeingivande ansågs “erkännande av fel”, “korrigerande åtgärd” och “kompensation”. Minst förtroendeingivande ansågs “enkel förnekelse”, “olycka”, “anklaga den attackerande parten” och “skylla ifrån sig”. Förberedande åtgärder har också upptäckts vara väldigt viktigt vid en förtroendekris. 

    Förslag på fortsatt forskning: Komplettera nuvarande studie med kvalitativa intervjuer med intressenter; Utföra ytterligare en fallstudie av Kommunal med fokus på det efterarbete och förberedande åtgärder som tillämpas för att undvika att hamna i samma situation igen; Komplettera nuvarande studie med en ostrukturerad innehållsanalys för att utläsa eventuella uttalanden från Kommunal som inte faller inom ramen för Image restoration theory.

    Uppsatsens bidrag: Studien ger organisationer en bättre helhetsbild av hur de ska kommunicera med allmänheten vid en förtroendekris, på allmänhetens villkor. Studien bidrar till att presentera ett heltäckande verktyg som kan vägleda dem att använda kriskommunikationen på ett sätt som dels minskar hotet mot organisationens rykte och dels bygger förtroendekapital hos intressenterna i ett tidigt skede.

    Abstract [en]

    Adaptability and cultural competency are core qualities that concern the profession of social work. The primary goal for a social worker is to enhance human well-being and improve for all sorts of complex and basic needs. The aim of this study was to investigate social workers attitudes regarding humanistic creative art as an intervention tool for clients with bipolar disorder. The main focus was to investigate how these approaches could be applied internationally and if it could affect stigmatization.  The social workers had various experiences and came from Sweden, Finland/Australia and Nepal. The study was conducted through qualitative research with an inductive thematic analysis, data collection and semi structured interviews. Two theories were applied in order to interpret the results: Erving Goffman’s stigma theory and Carl Rogers’ person centered therapy theory, combined with Natalie Rogers’ person centered expressive arts. The results showed that humanistic art approaches aims for connectedness and could function as an intervention tool. The results also showed a fear of accidentally exacerbating mania and inexperience with bipolar disorder.

    Abstract [en]

    The purpose of this study was to investigate whether feedback from the first line manager increase job satisfaction and work motivation for employees. The sample for the study were employees between 18-65 years, and data collection was conducted through a web-based survey which generated 157 completed questionnaires. The survey was based on Feedback Orientation Scale (FOS), Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) and Basic Need Satisfaction at Work Scale (BNS). The analyse were performed in SPSS and the result showed a positive correlation between the index of feedback and job satisfaction, but not between the index of feedback and job motivation. The result also showed that positive feedback predicted job satisfaction and job motivation. No differences in estimation of feedback, job satisfaction and work motivation were found between men and women.

    Det här examensarbetets syfte var att fördjupa förståelsen kring åtta förskollärares synsätt om flickors och pojkars fria lek ur ett genusperspektiv. Därutöver är avsikten att bidra till ökad insikt om förskollärares arbete för att främja jämställdhet mellan flickor och pojkar. Teoriavsnittet behandlar fri lek i den vardagliga verksamheten i förskolan. Därefter fördjupas barnens villkor i den fria leken.

     

    Intervjuer där åtta utbildade förskollärare i två olika verksamheter deltog, användes som metod. Båda verksamheterna är kommunalt drivna utan specifika inriktningar.  

     

    I studiens resultat framgår olika faktorer som visar att de åtta intervjuade förskollärarna ibland var av olika uppfattningar och åsikter även då de arbetar på samma förskola eller förskoleklass. Det kunde likväl vara två förskollärare på de två olika verksamheterna som hade samma synsätt. Endast hälften av förskollärarna framhåller vikten av att den fria leken bidrar till utveckling och lärande. Det förefaller också finnas en omedvetenhet kring skillnader i hur flickor och pojkar leker då endast en av förskollärarna påtalar detta. Den dominerande tendensen visar på att förskollärarna är samstämmiga kring sitt synsätt om att alla barn ska ha samma möjligheter och villkor i den fria leken.

    Abstract [en]

    Questions about environment, human rights, social conditions and anti-corruption are a growing area of discussions in business. Because of this, it is not enough for companies to just think about the consequences of their own actions, or their direct suppliers, companies also have to take all the other companies in their supply chain into consideration. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to describe how companies report sustainable information from their suppliers. Further, the purpose is to examine which factors can explain the amount of information from suppliers and which information the companies choose to report. These factors are line of business, which have not been investigated before, and the previous investigated factor size.

    The paper has a positivistic base and a quantitative method, and a deductive research approach has been applied. The paper’s empirical material are collected by annual reports and presented in charts and tables. The analysis has compared data to theories and previous research. The paper’s results indicate that most companies that include sustainability in their annual report also include their suppliers. There is a wide variation in the use of sustainability indicators for the companies who include their suppliers. Further, the results show that only one of the investigated factors can explain how the companies report sustainability information from their suppliers.

    Suggestions for future research is to investigate why some companies does not report sustainability information regarding their suppliers. Further, it would be interesting to study this in a few years, to see if any practice has been established regarding the companies reporting of sustainability information from the suppliers.

    Abstract [en]

    Society awareness of environmental issues has recently increased, which also led to the increase in demand for sustainability reporting. This has in turn resulted in the number of sustainability report becoming more and more recent. Sustainability reports are therefore usually very long and complex as the stakeholder’s needs are wide and large. Since these reports have not previously been integrated with the financial information of the company, this is something that should be done and therefore results in so-called integrated reporting. IR is a way for companies to report their value creation in the short, medium and long term. The purpose of IR is to expand traditional approaches to managing the various capital and business model that affect value creation. Based on this, the purpose on the study has been developed, which is to analyse how companies report value creation by applying the framework The International <IR> Framework.The study has a positivist point of departure and a major qualitative research strategy but with some quantitative elements in which a deductible research effort has been applied. The empirical material of the study has been collected from integrated reports and presented by diagram. The analysis has been carried out by data against previous research. The study's results show that business models affect the company's presentation of the value creation and that the International <IR> Framework is applied more and more when companies report a lot of capital. This result shows that it is in line with previous research and that the content element business model is a useful tool for reporting value creation. Suggestions for further research is to investigate why many companies do not link their business model with value creation though this study shows that the business model is useful tool for reporting value creation. Further, it would also be interesting to conduct a similar study when The International <IR> Framework has established itself and then study whether there are any significant differences.

    Syftet med denna undersökning är att få en inblick i om och hur förlusten av sockenkyrkan påverkade livet i Nedertorneå-Haparanda församling socialt samt religiöst och i så fall hur eventuella förändringar yttrade sig när de efter kriget 1809 förlorade hemkyrkan på Björkön-Pirkkiö till Ryssland. Församlingskyrkan blev efter gränsdragningen kvar på ryskt område. Eftersom kyrkan ansvarade för ett flertal nuvarande statliga uppgifter under denna tid, har jag funderat på hur undervisning, fattigvård samt sjukvård fungerade utan kyrka och prästerskap. Hur förrättningar och gudstjänster fungerade i en sådan komplex situation är ytterligare faktorer jag studerat närmare.

    För att ta reda på hur det förhöll sig med detta under den här tidsperioden har jag ägnat mig åt litteraturstudium; vilket till största delen varit av historisk karaktär. Det har rört sig om kyrkohistoria, studium av samhällsutveckling, samt allmän global och lokal historia.

    Utifrån det samlade materialet har jag kommit fram till att livet påverkades ur flera aspekter för invånarna i Nedertorneå-Haparanda församling när de förlorade sockenkyrkan 1809. Undervisningen med husförhör fungerade inte som de skulle, negligering av förbud att bevista den gamla stenkyrkan förekom samt en likgiltighet hos föräldrarna att undervisa sina barn och hålla husandakt är några exempel på hur detta kom till uttryck hos lokalbefolkningen.

    Abstract [en]

    Background: About 50 years ago, self-injurious behavior was considered rare, a symptom associated with psychosis or suicidal thoughts. In today's society, self-injurious behavior is a widespread phenomenon, especially among adolescents and adults dealing with mental illness in different ages. 

    Aim: The aim of this literature study was to describe and compile nurses' experiences of caring for patients with self-injurious behavior. 

    Method: A descriptive literature study made up of ten scientific articles.

    Main results: Nurses in the care of patients with self-injurious behavior described experiences of relationship-building care, the importance of specific knowledge, empathy and professional distance, and the support from colleagues. 

    Conclusion: The results of the literature study showed that several different components were important, these were; relationship-building care, lack of time and staff, the support of colleagues, the importance of specific knowledge as well as empathy and professional distance. These components form the basis for the nurse, to the best of her ability, to care for patients with self-injurious behavior in an adequate way of working.

    Hälsa och ohälsa är angelägenheter för både den enskilda människan och hela samhället. Hälsopedagogiska programmet är en treårig utbildning vid Högskolan i Gävle, studenterna som tar examen därifrån kan kalla sig hälsovetare. Syftet med studien är att undersöka uppfattningar av hälsosamhet bland hälsopedagogstuderande. Studiens ansats är fenomenografiskt inspirerad. Hur formas dessa hälsopedagoger in i yrkesrollen att göra människor mer hälsosamma? Vad anser dessa studenter vara hälsosamt? Fyra kvalitativa, halvstrukturerade intervjuer har genomförts med studenter som går termin fyra och fem på hälsopedagogiska programmet vid Högskolan i Gävle. Uppfattningarna som framgick av intervjuerna var bland annat hälsosamhet är en fråga om helhet, hälsosamhet är balans, hälsosamhet är att lyssna till kroppens signaler och hälsosamhet är ett positivt sinnestillstånd som kan användas som resurs för att uppnå det man vill i livet.

    Purpose: This study aims to understand which motivational factors most clearly affect real estate agents' motivation and performance when the housing market is down. We apply internal and external motivation according to self-determination theory in the brokerage profession.

    Method: The study was conducted according to a qualitative research strategy. The respondents were selected after purposive sampling and were then interviewed using semi-structured interviews with an inductive research approach. The empirical material was coded using grounded theory, which led us to identify six categories linked to brokers' internal and external motivations. The categories are image, wealth, interest/learning, relationships, fame/recognition and health.

    Results and conclusion: The study indicate that it is essential to have balance in life, private and at work, to be motivated and perform well as a broker in a declining market. However, it is also crucial that the organization understands the individual needs and motivates in an adapted way. In order to be motivated as a broker and get maximum performance, internal and external motivation factors are needed. In a down market, internal factors have a more decisive effect on brokers' motivation and performance at home and work.

    Contribution of the thesis: When companies have a greater understanding of how their employees are motivated and which motivational factors contribute most to better performance, they can implement measures that promote employee motivation to achieve the highest possible performance. Bringing out the maximum capacity of your employees is especially important during down markets to counteract the adverse effects that follow from a down market. Also, having an understanding and being able to identify one's motivational factors and having the insight that it can change during worse markets can contribute to not only motivation that leads to better performance but also having an insight into how you as an individual should work and set up goals to maintain motivation in your profession.

    Suggestions for further research: Our study has investigated the impact of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation on real estate agent's performance in a down market, and where it points to a mix of both motivational factors leading to the best performance, but that extrinsic motivation has a minor impact compared to a better market. It would have been interesting to investigate which external motivational factors reduce the impact on real estate agents as it leads to the industry's ability to streamline how they use extrinsic motivation to improve brokers' performance.

    Syfte: Syftet med vår uppsats är att undersöka hur dramapedagogik kan användas inom företagsutbildning, och att diskutera dess eventuella för- och nackdelar. Genom att använda oss av kvalitativa intervjuer och en workshop har vi sökt ta reda på hur människor i olika positioner uppfattar dramapedagogik.

    Metod och teori: De metoder vi har använt oss av är kvalitativa intervjuer med en dramapedagog, en personalchef och en medarbetare, en workshop med tio projektledare som fått göra värderingsövningar och rollspel samt en enkätundersökning. I teoriavsnittet har vi beskrivit dramapedagogik samt tagit fram fyra grundstenar för en effektiv företagsutbildning. Vi definierar dramapedagogik som en pedagogisk metod där fokus ligger på processen och deltagarnas egna erfarenheter. Det finns olika metoder inom dramapedagogik, de vi berör är rollspel, improvisation och värderingsövningar. De fyra grundstenarna för en bra utbildning är: motivation, improvisation och interaktivitet, minska kunskapstappet samt utvärdering.

    Resultat och slutsats: Samtliga intervjuade var överens om att lärande med hög grad av interaktivitet, då man får göra något, var den bästa formen av inlärning eftersom kunskaperna då satte sig djupare. Dessutom uppfattades dramapedagogiska metoder som roliga, vilket gav en positiv syn på utbildningsformen.Genom att använda sig av dramapedagogiska metoder kan de fyra grundstenarna tillgodoses, men man måste vara medveten om de nackdelar dramapedagogik kan innebära. Den allmänna kännedomen och förståelsen för vad dramapedagogik innebär är låg, och därför är det viktigt att de företag som köper in tjänsten och de som levererar den är tydliga med vad syftet är, så att deltagarna kan känna sig trygga. Dessutom kan metoden vara kostsam, då de grupper som utbildas endast kan ha en begränsad storlek.  Om man är medveten om dessa risker så kan dramapedagogik vara en mycket lämplig metod, då utbildningen uppfattas som rolig och personlig, deltagarna har stora möjligheter att relatera till sig själva och sitt arbete, samt kan vara aktiva under hela utbildningen.

    Uppsatsens bidrag: Vi hoppas att människor genom att läsa denna uppsats får en större förståelse för vad dramapedagogik innebär, samt nya uppslag och idéer till hur en lyckad företagsutbildning kan se ut.

    I det här arbetet undersöker vi hur man kan arbeta med dystopisk skönlitteratur som primärt verktyg i ämnesövergripande arbete på gymnasiet. Vi undersöker också hur ett sådant arbete kan främja elevernas kritiska tänkande och hur det kan gynna lärare i yrket. Uppsatsen vilar på en teoretisk grund vilken utgår från ett sociokulturellt lärande. Teoretikerna vi använder som stöd är Roger Säljö och Lev Vygotskij. Vi använder de skönlitterära verken Brave New World av Aldous Huxley, Kallocain av Karin Boye, 1984 av George Orwell och The Hunger Games av Suzanne Collins, som exempel i ett ämnesövergripande arbete. I studien har vi kommit fram till att ett ämnesövergripande arbete med dystopisk skönlitteratur som nyckeltext fungerar mellan svenska och flera olika kurser på gymnasiet. Vi har även kommit fram till att arbete med dystopisk skönlitteratur kan gynna elevers kritiska tänkande, vissa berättelser mer än andra. Genom att använda dystopisk skönlitteratur som nyckeltext i ett ämnesövergripande arbete får läraren avlastning i arbetsbördan. Det finns även dubbel kompetens att tillgå i ett sådant arbete, även för eleverna som genom textsamtal utifrån olika perspektiv har bättre förutsättningar till högre måluppfyllelse.

    Title: A study of the positive market reaction to CEO changes in the Nordic region.

    Aim: The purpose of this study is to analyze how the Scandinavian market reacts to the announcement of a new CEO and to analyze how the factors gender, age and recruitment method can affect this reaction.

    Method: The study has a positivistic research philosophy with a deductive basis. The study applies an Event study and is thus associated with a quantitative research method.

    Result & Conclusions: The results of the study indicate a positive market reaction in Scandinavia at the announcement of a CEO change. The study also indicates a positive market reaction for both women and men. Furthermore, the study indicate that the market reaction is positive in Sweden and Finland as well as negative in Denmark and Norway. The market reaction for men under median age is positive while the reaction for men over median age is negative, the market reaction for women based on age is opposite to men. The study indicates that there is a positive reaction when the incoming CEO is internally recruited and a negative reaction when the incoming CEO is externally recruited. However, some parts of the results are not significant, therefore it cannot be ruled out that certain parts of the results are random.

    Contribution of the thesis: This thesis contributes to fill the research gap that exists regarding the market reaction to CEO changes related to age, gender, recruitment method and a comparative Scandinavian perspective.

    Suggestions for future research: This study shows on several occasions a significant market reaction the day before the actual announcement date of the CEO change, we believe a study to further study the reason behind this result would be of interest. Two more suggestions for further research are presented in the study.

    Sammanfattning

    Intresset för lärares ledarskap tycks växa, samtidigt visar forskning att nyutbildade lärare upplever vissa svårigheter med sitt ledarskap. Det övergripande syftet med denna studie har varit att försöka få en tydligare bild av nyutbildade lärares ledarskapspraktik med sikte på att bidra till lärares ledarskapsutveckling. För att få kunskap om nyutbildades lärares ledarskapspraktik genomfördes intervjuer med sju nyutbildade lärare. Följande forskningsfrågor låg till grund för intervjuerna.

    Hur beskriver nyutbildade lärare ledarskap? Hur utformar nyutbildade lärare, enligt egen utsago, sitt ledarskap i praktiken?

    Idéer och teorier om ledarskap är många. För att ge en bild av vad ledarskap innebär och möjliggöra jämförelser, redovisas i studiens första del idéer och vetenskapliga teorier, som kan anses vara relevanta för förståelsen av de intervjuade lärarnas beskrivningar och ledarskapspraktik. I litteraturen framträder att det behövs ett brett perspektiv för att kunna förstå och förklara ledarskap. De kunskapsområden som blir synliga och som framstår som avgörande i ledarskapssituationer är individ- och gruppsykologi, pedagogik samt organisation.

    I de intervjuades beskrivningar framträder samma breda perspektiv. Lärarna har en tydlig beskrivning av sin ledarskapspraktik och sina ledarskapsambitioner. De framhåller relationen till eleverna som en avgörande del av ledarskapet. Vid jämförelse av lärarnas beskrivningar och teorier från litteraturen framträder begreppen påverka och beteende som centrala. Dessa begrepp blir också synliga när lärarna beskriver vad som är svårt med ledarskap. Dessutom framträder tydligt de icke-verbala signalerna som betydelsefulla delar av de intervjuades ledarskap. De intervjuade lärarna efterlyser mer fokus på ledarskap i lärarutbildningen. I diskussionen förs bland annat resonemang kring lärarutbildningens innehåll och paralleller dras till en annan lärandeorganisation, den svenska försvarsmakten och deras ledarskapsutbildning.

    Några slutsatser som kan dras är att, skolvärlden behöver enas kring värdet av att ha ledarskapskompetens som lärare. Skolvärlden behöver också enas om vad ett lärarledarskap av god kvalitet bör innehålla. En samsyn behöver överföras till lärarutbildningen och bli en del av den.     The aim of this study was to investigate how professionals in nature-based interventions work to promote mental health. The study focused on how professionals find that nature-based interventions are a complement to the traditional therapy for preventing mental illness and promoting mental health. It also addresses what challenges exist in maintaining   of nature-based interventions. Methods: This is a qualitative, inductive study where semi-structured interviews were used. The interviews with five professionals were recorded to facilitate transcription and after that a systematic thematic analysis was started to find patterns and codes in the respondents' answers. The results from this study showed the importance of having both preventive and promotional interventions and that the activities performed are meaningful. Gardening, nature and animalassisted therapy were central activities. It is a stress-free environment, focusing on the  individual in the group. The challenges for the businesses are lack of support from society and traditional health care. Many people have been helped by nature-based interventions as a  complement to traditional therapy.  Conclusion: Mental health is an important issue to tackle and therefore supplementary treatment is needed. Nature-based interventions are needed as a complement to traditional therapy to prevent mental illness and promote mental health.

    Aim: The aim of this thesis has been to try to answer the question of how an IT based marketing information system support the formation of business and product related strategies and when and how such a system should be integrated in a company

    Method: Analytical meta-study of published literature condensed through a SWOT analysis and combined with a qualitative evaluation of questionnaires directed to companies with experience of developing and implementing marketing information systems.

    Result & Conclusion: Company size and market volatility decides the time of implementation of a marketing information system. Implementation should be initiated top-down in order to secure full organisational inertia. The approach should be holistic and tailor-made for each specific organisation. Users should fully integrated in development and implementation.

    Suggestions for future research: Supplementary work could be carried out in trying to quantify how a marketing information system affect the new product time to market and the strategic mismatch to real market development, hence the efficiency of such a system. Another question of interest is the organisational inbound resistance to change, how this resistance affect the implementation of a marketing information system and how to overcome the boundaries it poses.

    Contribution of the thesis:This thesis contributes with a general framework that sustains the implementation of a marketing information system. It answers the initial questions that a manager has, standing before the possible implementation of such a tool.

    The purpose of this quantitative study was to examine if self- perceived intrinsic work motivation differed between men and women and between three age groups (20-38 years vs. 39-50 years vs. 51-65 years). The data was collected by administering the Basic Need Satisfaction at Work Scale (BNS) to employees at an international company. The survey was based on the Self-Determination Theory (SDT) and measured intrinsic work motivation by asking 21 propositions that concerned the sub-categories autonomy, competence and belongingness. The result of this study showed that there was no difference between men and women in self-reported intrinsic work motivation. However, there was a main effect of age group, wherein employees aged between 39 and 50 years reported a lower score on the propositions that measured perceived competence compared to employees aged between 20 and 38 years. This study highlights the importance of that individuals aging can have an influence on the perceived intrinsic work motivation.

    Syftet med denna studie har främst varit att belysa medarbetares upplevelser av ledarskap och dess inverkan på sjukfrånvaro. Studien har utförts på två olika arbetsplatser där man arbetar med personer med psykiska funktionsnedsättningar. Båda arbetsplatserna har relativt nyligen fått nya chefer/ledare tillsatta. Vi har valt att genomföra en kvalitativ studie där vi intervjuat sex stycken medarbetare, fyra kvinnor och två män i åldrarna 40-60 år. Intervjuerna genomfördes med ett narrativt angreppssätt, vi ville att samtalet skulle vara öppet med karaktär av dialog. Analysen eftersträvade att genom ett symbolisk interaktionistiskt angreppssätt förstå och tolka de olika upplevelser som informanterna delgivit oss. Det som framkommit i studien är att medarbetarna upplever att en chef/ledare som skapar trygghet också skapar arbetsglädje och motivation. Det är också chefens/ledarens personliga egenskaper som präglar ett bra ledarskap där sjukfrånvaron är låg samt medarbetarnas grad av acceptans av ledarstil. Viktiga aspekter som medarbetarna lyfter fram är att de vill känna sig betydelsefulla, ansvarstagande, hörda samt att chefen tar tag i problem och visar engagemang.

    Onyttiga vägsamfälligheter är ett problem som uppstått under äldre tiders fastighetsbildning och är idag en olägenhet för lantmätare och fastighetsägare i många förrättningsärenden. Detta arbete har syftat till att studera de metoder för utplåning av onyttiga vägsamfälligheter för att slutligen ge förslag på möjliga lösningar. Studier har gjorts av en utredning, en proposition, förrättningsakter och rättsfall med fokus på städning av fastighetsindelningen. De förrättningsakter som studerats innehåller fastighetsregleringsåtgärder som verkar för utplåning av onyttiga samfälligheter och sanering av fastighetsindelningen. Förrättningarna innefattade ett eller flera större områden med ett stort antal fastigheter. Rättsfallen som inkluderades i arbetet rörde samfälligheter och handlade om överklagan på saneringsåtgärder med ersättning och äganderätt i fokus. Utöver detta har ett exempel från Finland studerats, där utplåning av vägsamfälligheter utfördes 1977 genom lagstiftning. Den finska lagstiftningen för utplåning av vägsamfälligheter blev till stor del inte en förbättring utan försköt problemet genom att en stor mängd servitut bildades utan kontroll. I längden blev det svårt att hantera de uppkomna rättigheterna och en städningsåtgärd infördes i finsk lag för att rätta till problemen. Det svenska lagförslaget för utplåning av samfälligheter i Sverige från 1983 liknar lagen i Finland men antogs senare inte då det hade inneburit liknande problem. Ett antal ändringar i svenska fastighetsbildningslagen, som Proposition 1988/89:77 tar upp, infördes dock. Exempelvis medförde en ändring att någon ersättning ej behövde fastställas för föreningsförvaltade samfälligheter med lågt värde. Effekterna detta har haft på reglerandet av onyttiga samfälligheter är okänt men eftersom problemet kvarstår efter 20 år får det förmodas att nya åtgärder måste göras. Våra slutsatser visar att onyttiga vägsamfälligheter kan åtgärdas delvis genom större inflytande från sakägare. Någon lösning på problemet är dem däremot inte. Slutsatserna innehåller även förslag på vad en ny lag bör innehålla, med tidigare förslag som förebild. Framtida kostnader ett sådant lagförslag ger upphov till är troligtvis höga men vi hoppas att vissa ändringar från tidigare förslag kan reducera dessa.

    Pain is a phenomenon which not only affects patients physically but also mentally. Women who have undergone mastectomy feel that pain affects their quality of life. Mood swings, poor sleep, depression, anxiety and physical impairments are common symptoms that result in postoperative pain. The purpose: The purpose of this study was to illustrate what different treatments and nursing treatments the nurse can give in pain after mastectomy. Method: The study was conducted as a literature study where the authors examined sixteen scientific studies. Results: The results of the study showed that good communication, information, and the nurse's knowledge are vital to be able to provide adequate pain treatment. Concern reinforces the post-operative pain, and through early secures the patients anxiety and depression can be avoided. Concrete treatment methods with good effect on the pain that emerges in this study are individual rehabilitation, PCA pump, and that early outcomes in many cases contributes to a better quality of life. What also emerged in the study was the lack of research into practical treatments, despite high demand.

    Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur fritidslärare uppfattar samverkan mellan skola och fritidshem, vilka möjligheter och svårigheter som kan finnas ur fritidslärares perspektiv. Tidigare forskning belyser fritidslärares svårigheter för samverkan mellan skolverksamhet och fritidsverksamhet. Studien har använt sig av samverkansteori för att analysera olika ambitionsnivåer för samverkan. Studien bygger på kvalitativa intervjuer med fem fritidslärare i fyra olika kommuner runt om i Sverige. Resultatet har strukturerats genom en tematisk analys. Studiens resultat visar att fritidshemslärarna uppfattade att samverkan är för att få en helhetssyn på eleven. Samverkansarbetet blev ofta svårt eftersom fritidslärares kunskap och kompetens inte togs tillvara, att de blev mer resurs eller lärarassistent. Möjlighet till samverkan fanns beroende på vilken klasslärare arbetet skedde med. Vidare visar resultatet att fritidslärare betonade att samverkan är en ledningsfråga. Ett större ansvar från ledningen när det gäller samverkan efterfrågades. I diskussionen betonades att resultatet bekräftar tidigare forskning vad beträffar svårigheter i samverkan mellan klasslärare och fritidslärare. Enligt samverkansteorin styrks att en bra samverkan kräver att ledningen tar ett större ansvar.

    Syftet med studien är att utveckla kunskaper om hur förskollärare uppfattar relationersom syftar till lärande. Undersökningsfrågan studien lutar mot är; Kan förskollärarenstödja barns lärande genom skapande av relationer mellan förskollärare och barn? Föratt utveckla kunskaper om hur förskollärare uppfattar relationer som syftar till lärandehar en kvalitativ metod använts där förskollärare intervjuats. Begrepp som använts istudien är empati, omsorgsrelation, undervisningsrelation, intimitetszon och lyhördhet.Resultatet beskriver att ett empatiskt bemötande kan ses vara gynnande för relationenmellan barnen och förskollärarna. Vidare påvisas i resultatet att relationerna har olikakaraktär. Innehållet i kategori ett i resultatavsnittet påvisar en omsorgsrelation vilkenkan ses vara nödvändig för att en undervisningsrelation ska ges möjlighet att byggas.

    Syftet med studien var att mäta elevernas kunskaper inom området evolution på yrkesförberedande program. En enkät delades ut till elever på en gymnasieskola med frågor som hade fasta och öppna svarsalternativ. Ett statistiskt test (Kurskal-Wallis) användes när materialet tolkades. De alternativa evolutionsidéerna dominerade svaren på flersarsfrågorna medan det hos de öppna frågorna var en dominans av vet ej/ingen aning svar. Det fanns ingen skillnad på rangen hos enkätfrågorna med öppna svar och intresset av att läsa naturkunskap b eller biologi. Förkunskaperna hos eleverna på yrkesförberedande program var liknande dem hos elever som läser biologi på gymnasiet.
