With the help of a nurse, people can strengthen their knowledge of health and ill health to manage their self-care, such as diet, exercise and in some cases medication. The people were aware of the sequelae, however most people have the attitude that it will not happen to me, a denial. The people were in need of a lifestyle change and to get information about their illness. Everyday exercise was an important part of people's lifestyle changes. It was stressful for the people to change their lifestyle, but also personal finances, cultural background and the high pace in society could be described as other stressors. Conclusion: Support and information from the caregiver is important for the people to get the optimal understanding as possible about their illness and to reduce stress and anxiety about their situation.
