Abstract [en]

Background: A 2017 study estimated that more than 800,000 people suffer from acute myocardial infarction each year, and in most cases, 27% of patients die from it before they reach the hospital. Pre-hospital delays have been relatively stable over the past two decades, and have not improved significantly in any of those two decades.Aim: The aim of this paper is to describe the factors influencing delayed medical treatment in patients with acute myocardial infarctionMethod: This article is a descriptive review. 11 papers are selected from PubMed and CINAHL databases by using appropriate keywords, and the contents of these papers are compared and analyzed. Results: The influencing factors of delayed medical treatment in acute myocardial infarction were divided into three factors, namely sociodemographic factor, emotion-psychological factor and cognitive factor. These three factors interact with each other. Individual intervention, social intervention and government intervention are possible. Conclusion: The factors affecting delayed medical treatment in patients with acute myocardial infarction include sociodemographic factors (including age, economic, social and personal factors), psychological factors, cognitive factors (including education level, complications, etc.) and other factors. By intervening in these factors, we can reduce or avoid undue medical delay in the occurrence of acute myocardial infarction.Key words: acute myocardial infarction ,pre-hospital delay
