Abstract [en]

Background: Aging is becoming increasingly severe year by year, and the number ofold people patients is also increasing. Resilience, as a positive health promoting factor, has a significant impact on the health of old people. In order to improve the quality ofclinical nursing, it is necessary to summarize the factors that associated withpsychological resilience of the old people.Design: A descriptive literature review including studies with a qualitative approach.Method: This article was a descriptive literature review. The two authors have selectedqualitative and quantitative research literature on the resilience of older adults peopleover the past decade. Then, based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, these twelvearticles were summarized and compared in terms of similarity and difference. Results: Through the induction and analysis of 12 literature articles, we summarized theresults into two main themes: (1) "Internal factors" have secondary themes such as"Personal physical and psychological factors", "Personal thinking and characterfactors", and "Personal management ability factors". (2) External factors have secondarythemes such as "Social support factors" and "Surrounding people", “The way of beingraised”,“quality of life”.Conclusions: Both internal and external factors can affect the resilience of old people. It is necessary for nurses to recognize the factors affecting the resilience of the oldpeople and apply them in the clinic to improve the resilience and thus improve thequality of care.Key words: old people, resilience, factors
