There are differences inmotivation for less and more experienced real estate agents within all of the external motivationcategories, but only in societal improvement when it comes to the internal motivation categories.Contribution of the thesis: The study has contributed in the motivation theory calledSelf Determination Theory with focus on the Aspiration Index. The essay explains which parts of theAspiration index that are relevant to realtors.Suggestions for future research: Meaningful relationships have proven to be the most importantcategory for realtors, therefore, we believe that further research should be done in that category inorder to build on the research within the Aspiration Index.
