Abstract [sv]
Abstract [en]
The purpose of this study was to explore social secretaries’ perception of collaborating with both family and company when working with consulted foster care. The study was conducted through qualitative, semi-structured interviews with social secretaries who were, or had been, collaborating with consulted foster care. The results of the study show that social secretaries’ perception of collaborating with consulted family homes seems to contain challenges and a higher level of workload because of complex communication routs with the family homes. The challenging aspects contained difficulties in relationship building between socials services and family homes, not accepted families get suggested by the consults as if they were approved for the assignment and conflicts of interest between the private and the public operators. In this study the discussion will be based on possible arguments the agencies intentions with the collaboration through organizational culture that shapes both the family homes, the counsellors and social secretaries’ perception of their role during the collaboration.
