Background:Increasing evidence suggested that the emergence of sedentary behavior predicts an increased risk of physical illness. People with diabetes are more likely to be sedentary than non-diabetes. Based on the harm of sedentary behavior on the individual body, it is important to explore the influencing factors of sedentary behavior in the elderly with community type 2 diabetes to reduce sedentary time and promote the physical health of the elderly.Aim: The aim of the literature review was to describe the influencing factors on sedentary behavior in older adults with type 2 diabetes in the community.Design: A descriptive literature review.Methods: A literature search in the database PubMed & Cinahl screened the articles eligible for inclusion, analyzed and summarized these articles, and the results were structured according to the category and presented under the corresponding categories.Results: Influencing factors of sedentary behavior in older adults with type 2 diabetes in community included four aspects: personal trait, behavior habit, living and working conditions and interpersonal relationships. Personal trait included age, gender, figure, poor physical condition and physical functions. Behavior habit including some bad habits and poor self-control ability. Living and working conditions and interpersonal relationships as influencing factors also play a more significant role.Conclusions: In this study, Influencing factors of sedentary behavior in older adults with type 2 diabetes in community from personal trait, behavior habit, living and working conditions and interpersonal relationships, which provides a starting point for interventions in families, the community and hospitals. It provides a direction for future targeted research
