Background: Breast cancer is a common malignancy among women and the fifth leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Delayed medical consultation for breast cancer can result in increased surgical interventions, higher treatment costs, elevated risk of disfigurement, and worsened prognosis. Female breast cancer patients are often influenced by multiple factors during the medical consultation process. Therefore, understanding the reasons behind delayed medical consultation in breast cancer patients is crucial for improving early diagnosis rates and enhancing the survival rates of those affected.Aim: The literature review aimed to describe the factors of delayed presentation in women with early breast cancer.Methods: This is a descriptive literature review. The authors selected research literature on factors of delayed presentation in women with early breast cancer. After screening according to inclusion and exclusion criteria, ten quantitative articles were compared and summarized.Results: A total of ten articles described the factors of delayed presentation in women with early breast cancer, which were divided into three categories: (1) Patient's factors (2) Healthcare system factors (3) Disease-related factors.Conclusion: When formulating intervention measures, all factors should be considered comprehensively to provide personalized support and help for patients, improve patients' awareness and promote early treatment.
