The role of distributive justice in intrinsic and extrinsic work motivation (English)
Abstract [sv]

Enkäten skapades utifrån Colquitt´s (2001) mätverktyg om distributiv rättvisa och The Work Extrinsic and Intrinsic Motivation Scale (WEIMS) som mätte arbetsmotivation.

Abstract [en]

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between perceived distributive justice and intrinsic respectively extrinsic work motivation, when the control variables gender, age and length of employment are controlled. A quantitative study was conducted in which an online survey was sent out via social media. The survey was created based on Colquitt´s (2001) measuring instrument on distributive justice and The Work Extrinsic and Instrinsic Motivation Scale (WEIMS) which measured work motivation. There were a total of 78 survey answers and in SPSS the data was analyzed through hierarchical regression analyses. The result showed that distributive justice explained a significant part of the variance in intrinsic work motivation and extrinsic work motivation excluding amotivation. The control variabel gender was shown to explain a significant part of the variance in extrinsic work motivation, where the men had a higher mean value than the women.
